It only took one Stila haul for me to become completely obsessed with this brand. I love everything from the shiny gold packaging to the buttery, nourishing formulas.
The Colour Correct products have been on the top of my need-to-try list – especially the One Step Correct. However, I’ve always thought that £24 for a primer is a bit too expensive – especially when I don’t know how good it will be. So when I found the All-In-One correcting palette online for £10 instead of the usual £35, I had to snap it up as quickly as possible. I wasn’t really sure how to use the different colours in the palette, so I was relieved to find that it comes with a small leaflet telling you exactly what each colour can be used for.
I’ve seen so many brands advertising different colour correct sets, but I thought I’d start with this Stila version – simply because I’m hoping that colours from a more up-market brand like this will provide better coverage and neutralisation of those dreaded eye bags and red patches on my face. Because my skin is so pale, the dark orange colour scares me a little bit, but I’m going to go in with an open mind, experiment, and see whether colour correction is worth all the hype.
As I was having a bit of a splurge after Christmas, I also decided to buy a Stila eyeshadow palette – again for £10 instead of the usual £30. There are 4 versions of the “Eyes are the Window” shadow palettes – Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit. I ended up buying the “Spirit” palette because it has a variety of neutral shimmer colours that I love, but it also has a few grey and orange/red shades that will be perfect for adding a pop of colour to my normal eyeshadow looks. I’ve tried a few eyeshadow singles from Stila before but I’ve never owned one of their palettes. So far I’ve been really impressed with the variety of colours and formulas available to buy – and of course the packaging is gorgeous as well. I’d need to be convinced to buy this at full price, but for £10 this is definitely a bargain!
Have you tried a Stila palette before?

I love the packaging on that colour corrector! I love love the Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighters, and their Stay All Day Liquid Liner is also very very good. It’s strange how they seem to fly under the radar a bit. I think it’s because they don’t seem to send out PR?
