I am a huge fan of birthday blog posts because I’m seriously nosy and I really like to see all the different gifts, parties and cakes that other bloggers use to celebrate their special days.
As today marks my 20th birthday, I thought I’d join in on the fun and do my own little post… Aside from the cards, cheques and cash from grandparents and relatives, I received a few amazing gifts from my parents (and I’ll be seeing my friends back at Uni later on so I might even find myself with a few more presents…)
As part of my birthday celebrations, I’ll be going for Pret-a-Portea at The Berkeley hotel with my mum and nan in January – I’m already so excited! Fashion-themed afternoon tea in London? Yes please!
If you read my gift guide post from the other day, you will have seen that I ordered the Juvia’s Place “The Nubian” palette on Black Friday. I was finally allowed to open it today so I can’t wait to start using the different eyeshadows to create some gorgeous Christmassy looks.
I was also finally able to get my hands on the King skull necklace from Bill Skinner which has been on my wishlist for ages! The whole design is just incredible and I just know I’ll be wearing it at every chance I get.
My mother clearly knows me well because I was also given a small selection of products from the Mac Snowball collection – two lipsticks and two eyeshadow singles. You can see from the shades I received that I definitely have a colour scheme I like to stick to! I love these shades but I’m too scared to use the eyeshadows right because I want those little snowflakes to stay there forever!
Finally, I was incredibly lucky that my parents secretly bought me a silver bracelet from Tiffany. This was the only gift I didn’t know about – so I was very surprised to open the box and find a gorgeous bracelet looking back at me. I don’t know what I was expecting – but a Tiffany piece definitely didn’t cross my mind! I already love it, so of course I’m wearing it back to Uni with me – and I don’t think I’ll ever want to take it off!
I celebrated my birthday on Sunday with a meal at Middleton’s steakhouse with my parents and grandparents… and then I went out for more food with my parents at lunch time today – before doing a spot of Christmas shopping with my mother and watching “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on Netflix in anticipation for the new movie being released on the 14th.
I’m ending my day on the train back to Uni, carrying bags of Christmas presents for my friends and a Paddington Bear cake with no legs (I just had to try some vanilla sponge before I left home…) I’ve had a great day and I can’t wait to celebrate again next year…
