Every single time I come back home from University, I always seem to end up spending the money I should have been saving… I blame it all on my Mother – because somehow she can convince me to part with my cash on an almost daily basis!
For the last few months I’ve been on a quest to upgrade my makeup collection and fill my drawers with high end brands instead of my usual cheaper drug store makeup. “The Cosmetics Company” has a fabulous outlet store for branded makeup and cosmetics tools in Bicester, so as I was in Bicester Village on Sunday, I popped into the shop to see if I could pick up any bargains! Eyeshadows are my favourite makeup products simply because I love the range of colours, textures and finishes available. I feel like eyeshadows are the only products I can actually experiment with and really enjoy wearing, so of course I headed to the Mac stand first to see what I could find. I’ve had a Z-Palette sitting in my Beauty Bay basket for a few weeks now, so I’ve been on the look out for eyeshadow singles that could be put in a magnetic palette like this.
The two singles I bought are in two very predictable pale brown colours (I like what I like!) and were bought for £7 each instead of the usual £10. I was ready to purchase these two eyeshadows by themselves, but I couldn’t resist throwing in this gorgeous pot of shimmery gold eyeshadow from the Mac X Caitlyn Jenner range as well – it’s perfect for party season!
Of course I also had to make a trip to my beloved TK Maxx this weekend, so I ended up buying two more nail polishes for my ever-growing collection. I bought a copper-y O.P.I polish for £3.99 which will look amazing throughout the colder months – and I also found a Nails Inc. pale blue polish that I just had to pop into my basket as well. I’m usually an O.P.I girl and won’t buy from any other brand, but I couldn’t say no to this Nails Inc. colour for £2!
The last thing I bought this week was another Topshop chameleon highlighter in the shade “Sea Witch” for £5.99. I fell in love with the last highlighter I bought from the Topshop range, so when I saw they were back in stock in TK Maxx, I just had to buy the same product in a different shade! I’m just hoping this will suit my skin tone…
