Opening Packages

I’m a terrible one for ordering things while I’m away from home. Arriving back from my Summer holiday is like a second Christmas for me because there’s always a whole load of packages waiting in the front room! I’m definitely not a spendthrift and I’m always looking for ways to save money – but every year the Summer sales begin just as I leave the country and I am not one to miss out on a bargain!

Instead of doing a hundred and one individual posts about everything that’s arrived, I thought I’d do one big unwrapping post to show you all the goodies I’ve bought.

I knew I wanted to buy a couple of diaries and organisers to help me plan out the posts and photo shoots for my blog because I am so unorganised with my writing at the moment. I constantly have the saying “fail to plan, plan to fail” ringing through my head so I want to get planning straight away..! is my favourite stationery brand so I filled a basket on their website with different planners and journals before realising that the cost of postage to the UK was horrendous! I refuse to spend all of my money on postage and packaging so I decided to have a quick look through the ASOS website instead – and I found an Ohh Deer agenda and a lined diary for a total of £8!

The green Ohh Deer agenda has the perfect layout for blog planning and includes sections for objectives, doodles and appointments. The ombré journal has plain lined pages, cute heart stickers and a pocket at the back which I’ll use to hold anything related to the planning process. I can’t wait to get using these!

(Blog posts will now be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays…)

Don’t shoot me, but this is my first ever purchase from Missguided… I bought this leotard in the sale using a code which also got me free next day delivery for a whole year! I like the graphic print and lacing detail and I’ll probably end up taking it to Rome with me next month. Not bad for £6!

I can’t remember whether this is my 14th or 15th pair of Dr Martens.. But either way, I’m in love with them! I was a bit sceptical of how this slingback/loafer hybrid would look in person, but I decided to give them a chance because they looked so good online. These are the “Valentine Arcadia” Dr Martens in Oxblood. They were in the sale for £40 down from £95 – and at less than half price I couldn’t resist buying them. I think they’re perfect for the transition between Summer and Autumn and the colour is fabulous. They look great with a long kilt or a pair of cropped trousers – I can see myself living in these for the next few months!

I picked up this River Island longline blazer in the sale for £25 down from £75. I bought it because I really liked the black and white Chevron material and the faux leather trim. I know that tailoring is on trend for the A/W season, so I was looking for a fitted blazer to carry me through to the colder months and this fits the bill perfectly!

I also received my September issue of “Glamour” magazine in the post. I’m a bit guilty when it comes to monthly subscriptions… Aside from “Glamour”, I also subscribe “Vogue”, My Little Box and Netflix. I’m just hoping I’ll be able to afford food when I go back to Uni in September!

This Vidal Sassoon leave-in conditioner was the free gift for my “Vogue” subscription. Even though I subscribed to the magazine a while ago, this conditioner only arrived while I was on holiday. I’ve read some really good reviews about this so I hope my hair benefits from it!

I also did a bit of eBay-ing while I was on my travels and had a cheeky bid on an Urban Decay NYC palette. I knew the colours had been swatched and the palette was missing two eyeliners and a primer, but none of this mattered to me as I planned on filling the product spaces with my own eyeliners and a lipgloss anyway. The pop-ups were in perfect condition and the lights still worked so I snapped the palette up for £12. Bargain!

I also picked up a few other little bits while I was shopping through the final sales. I bought this gold Topshop frilled jumper for £5 down from £20, “Golden Goddess” dry shampoo from Superdrug for 85p, a mini brow kit from I Heart Makeup for £2.99 and some Globetrotting Percy Pigs (Yum) for £1.60!

I match my dog in this jumper…

Let me know if you found any steals in the sales!
