My Little Box is something I’ve been signed up to since February. I knew I was going to give in to the monthly subscription box hype eventually, but with so many to choose from I had to do a bit of research first! Birch Box and Glossy Box were both recommend to me, but they are very makeup orientated and you only receive a few products each month.
I’m not much of a makeup buff and I don’t really know what I’m doing when I experiment with different products, so I opted for My Little Box instead because it contains a mixture of lifestyle, fashion and makeup products inspired by the Parisian way of life. This works much better for me because instead of beauty products alone, I also receive a few other bits ranging from tote bags and clothing to phone accessories and jewellery etc.
However, Birch Box occasionally puts a full sized Spectrum brush in their boxes and I tend to lust over these… But I’ve found that a lot of these brushes end up on eBay so I’ve been buying them for about £2.50 instead of the £13 price of the full box!
Anyway, this is a post about the July edition of My Little Box. The box this month was Seashell themed – so here is what I received:
1 – Miniature Print – Illustrations are by Kanako Kuno:
2 – Seashell Print Drawstring Pouch:
3 – My Little Beauty Body Scrub:
Any products from My Little Beauty – the in-house makeup brand – can be bought here
4 – 5ml Yves Rocher: Accord Chic Secrets D’Essences – Eau De Parfum:
(This scent is amazing!)
5 – 30 ml Institut Karité Paris – Créme Mains Karité Fleur De Lys:
6 – Candle Holder:
7 – Seashell Sweet:
8 – Writing Stationery Set:
9 – Makeup Bag/ Inflatable Pillow:
The box itself is £10 and the packaging is £3.95, so it costs me just under £14 a month which I think is really good value. In each box you are given a card that tells you how much each product is worth – and usually the contents of the box are worth far more than you pay. I also love the suspense of opening a surprise box each month!
